What is the function of the oil filter?
The function of oil filter is to filter out the harmful impurities in the oil from the oil sump, to supply the crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft, supercharger, piston ring and other motion pairs with clean oil, to lubricate, cool and clean, thus extending the life of these parts.
How oil filter works?
In the process of engine operation, with the operation of the oil pump, the oil with impurities continuously enters the oil filter from the oil inlet on the bottom plate assembly of the oil filter, and then goes through the check valve to the outside of the filter paper for filtration; Under the action of oil pressure, the oil continuously passes through the filter paper into the central tube, and the impurities of the oil remain on the filter paper. The oil in the center tube enters the engine lubrication system through the oil outlet in the middle of the oil filter bottom plate.
