How to remove dirt from the oil tank of the excavator? The solution is super simple!
The development of excavators is relatively fast, and excavators have become one of the most important construction machinery in engineering construction. Common excavator structures include power systems, work systems, slewing mechanisms, operating mechanisms, transmission mechanisms, walking mechanisms, and auxiliary facilities. The three most important parameters of an excavator: operating weight (quality), engine power and bucket capacity.
An excavator is an earthmoving machine that uses a bucket to dig materials that are above or below the bearing surface and load them into a transport vehicle or unload to a stockyard. The materials excavated by the excavator are mainly soil, coal, silt, and pre-loose soil and rock. Some troubles will inevitably occur during the use of the excavator. Next, we will introduce the common cleaning methods for oil tank dirt during excavator maintenance.
There are three common ways to remove fuel tank dirt during excavator maintenance:
(1) Purge method
That is, a part of diesel oil is retained in the fuel tank, and then compressed air use plastic pipe of 19.6 to 29.4 KPa is passed into the bottom of the fuel tank to make the diesel fuel tumbling for cleaning, and the position and direction of the lower end of the gas pipe are continuously changed to clean the entire fuel tank. The diesel oil in the fuel tank was released immediately after the purging, and the Carter excavator repaired the impurities suspended in the oil to flow out with the diesel oil. If the outflowing diesel oil is dirty, use the above method to clean it again until the released oil contains no impurities.
(2) Steam method
After exhausting the diesel, remove the fuel tank, and then fill the diesel tank with more than half a tank of water, and introduce the steam into the water from the filler port with a conduit, so that the water in the diesel tank boils for about 1 hour. In this way, the colloid and residual diesel molecules adhered to the inner wall of the tank can be dissolved in water. Light-weight dirt floats on the surface and is washed away. This way, the diesel tank can be rinsed clean twice.
(3) Solvent method
Wash the Carter excavator diesel tank with hot water, then blow dry with compressed air to remove the diesel vapor inside. Finally, the diesel tank is immersed in an aqueous solution containing 10% sodium hydroxide. Rinse the inside and outside of the diesel tank with water after dipping. If rust is found on the outside, clean it with a wire brush.
The oil tank of the excavator must be cleaned once in a while. When the oil tank is added and replaced, it should be cleaned first to drain the residual oil and impurities, otherwise, the new oil will be polluted. Be sure to clean it during the daily cleaning of the fuel tank.
