There is a jargon in the construction machinery industry called "seven points depend on maintenance, three points depend on repair", which talks about the importance of daily maintenance of construction machinery equipment such as excavators, loaders. The purpose of implementing regular maintenance is to reduce machine failures (Less maintenance) and extend machine life (More effectiveness); reduce machine downtime (More money); improve work efficiency and reduce operating costs (Less money).
Everyone knows that the quality of the original parts is good, but the price of the original parts is really not cheap. A filter element costs at least one or two hundred, and the spare parts are even more expensive. Therefore, many bosses like to change some of the auxiliary factory parts. Not too bad, the equipment can work normally when installed.
Taking an excavator as an example, the daily maintenance mainly refers to the maintenance of the engine, hydraulic system, electrical appliances, machinery, and structure. Excavator engine daily maintenance replacement parts are generally diesel filter, air filter, oil filter, commonly known as "three filters".
The general maintenance time of an excavator is 250 hours, and the oil, filter and diesel filter need to be changed. The difference between the original filter element and the auxiliary filter element may not be very obvious in appearance, but the internal filter paper material and filtering accuracy are very different.
If the filtering capacity of the oil filter element is poor, it will cause impurities in the oil to be sprayed directly to the bearings, cylinders and cylinder blocks of the engine without filtering, which will increase the wear of the engine's working parts, which may not be obvious within one or two thousand hours. However, the overhaul time will be much earlier than the engine using the original machine filter, and the gain is not worth the loss.
1. The engine oil and the oil filter element should be replaced with genuine parts and replaced according to the prescribed maintenance cycle.
This money must not be saved. Improper lubrication of the engine will have fatal consequences! For the old excavator oil filter element, more care is needed. In addition, the replacement time of the oil filter can be shortened as appropriate to make the engine life longer.
2. Purchase the original diesel filter element and replace the diesel filter element according to the prescribed maintenance cycle.
Diesel filter is one of the important components to ensure the quality of diesel engine oil. It can effectively block the dust and moisture entrained in diesel, and can effectively extend the service life of fuel injection pumps, diesel nozzles and other filter elements. It is particularly important for EFI machines.
To clarify, the main factory filter paper is dense, and the amount of impurities intercepted is large, so it is easier to block, and the replacement cycle is shorter than other filter elements, so the filter element that is not blocked for a long time is a good filter element.
3. Buy the original factory air filter element, the environment is harsh and even install an air filter element.
The air filter is one of the very important supporting products of the engine. It is like a human face mask. Imagine severe haze weather without a face mask. People must be sick. The air filter element protects the engine and removes hard dust particles from the air. Provide clean air to the engine, prevent dust from causing engine wear, and play a key role in engine reliability and durability.
Some excavators have a harsh working environment. Many users choose to install an air filter outside the excavator to allow dust to pass through two filter barriers and allow the engine to suck in the fresh air.
4. Replacement time
1. Normal replacement time:
Oil filter 250H

2. Abnormal replacement:
a When the pressure of the filter element is alarmed or the pressure is abnormal, check the blockage of the filter element. If it is abnormal, it must be replaced, such as construction in a tunnel. The air filter element must be cleaned and checked every shift.
c If the surface of the filter element is leaking or cracked, it must be replaced.
In addition, as far as possible, diesel should be provided by regular gas stations. Even if the diesel is refueled at regular gas stations, do not add it directly to the fuel tank and filter it before adding it. Drain water at the bottom of the diesel tank and at the oil-water separator before starting each day.
For the maintenance of the three filters of the engine, it is very important to use genuine oil, so as to ensure the filtering accuracy of the filter element to prevent debris from entering, causing improper wear and failure of the excavator.
