Method for measuring intake pressure of Komatsu PC-8MO series engines.

Measurement of intake pressure (increase pressure)

★ Note: Measure the intake pressure under the following conditions.

      • Engine coolant temperature: within the working range

      • Hydraulic oil temperature: within the working range

1. Disassemble the hood and remove the intake pressure detection plug 1 from the intake connector.

   

   
   

2. Install the threaded socket [1] of the booster meter assembly R and connect it to the meter [2].

   

   
   

3. Run the engine at medium or high speed and drain oil from the hose.

   Note:

   ★ Insert the connector of the meter and the hose about half, and then repeatedly open the automatic sealing part on the side of the hose, the oil will be drained.

   ★ If you can buy the Pm module (A), you can use the exhaust coupling (790-261-1130) in this module.

   ★ The instrument will not work if there is oil in the hose. Therefore, be sure to drain the oil clean.

   
   

4. Set the working mode to quick mode (P), and turn on the rotary lock switch.

   ★ If the rotary lock switch is turned on, the main relief valve will be set to high-pressure relief.

   
   

5. When running the engine at full throttle, the stick oil circuit should be overflowed and measure the intake pressure.

   
   

6. After the measurement is completed, remove the measurement tool and reinstall the removed parts.
